Kansas High School Basketball - Emporia crushes Ottawa
December 1, 2023: Emporia, KS 66801 Emporia Spartans (Emporia, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ottawa Cyclones (Ottawa, KS), 63-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Emporia upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Spartans host Trinity Academy (Wichita, KS) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Trinity Academy won 62-34 in their recent non-league bout against Garden Plain (Garden Plain, KS)
Next up, the Cyclones play the Shawnee Mission North Bison (Shawnee Mission, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Ottawa will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
