North Carolina High School Basketball - Starmount holds off Wilkes Central
December 1, 2023: Wilkesboro, NC 28697 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) and the host Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), saw Starmount's basketball squad hold off Wilkes Central by a tally of 18-15.
With the victory, Starmount improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Rams travel to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC) to confront the Blackhawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Blackhawks come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. West Wilkes lost 33-19 in their recent non-league challenge against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Wilkes Central will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
