North Carolina High School Basketball - Piedmont can't hold off East Gaston
December 1, 2023: Monroe, NC 28110 The East Gaston Warriors basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the host Piedmont Panthers to 42 in the Warriors non-league victory on Friday.
The Warriors now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashbrook for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. East Gaston will battle a Greenwave team coming off a 52-33 non-league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Greenwave record now stands at 2-1.
The Panthers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, East Mecklenburg was nudged by Sun Valley (Monroe, NC), 53-41, in a non-league contest.
