The Westlake Chaparrals basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Holmes Huskies to 31 in the Chaparrals non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Chaparrals now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cypress Falls for a non-league contest on Friday, December 3. Westlake will battle a Eagles team coming off a 57-49 non-league win over Katy (Katy, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 5-1.

The Huskies (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Taft (San Antonio, TX). The Raiders enter the 6A Region IV District 29 contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Taft was routed by Coronado (Lubbock, TX), 63-59, in a non-league contest.
