Amundsen Vikings (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mather Rangers (Chicago, IL), 62-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Amundsen upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Schurz (Chicago, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a Chicago Public - Red Northwest bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Schurz won 47-46 in their recent league challenge against Von Steuben (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Rangers confront the Senn Bulldogs (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public - White North challenge, on Wednesday, December 7. Mather will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record.
