December 2, 2022: Sugar Hill, GA 30518 The Franklin County Lions basketball team (Carnesville, GA), was routed 79-49 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA)
The Longhorns now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Gwinnett for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 6. Lanier will battle a Black Knights team coming off a 67-50 non-league loss to Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, GA). The Black Knights record now stands at 1-6.
The Lions (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Banks County (Homer, GA). The Leopards come into the AA Region 8 battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Banks County trounced Commerce (Commerce, GA), 49-40, in a non-league battle.
