Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), 56-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Western Guilford upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Hornets travel to East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-1. East Forsyth lost 63-62 in their recent non-league bout against Forsyth Country Day (Lewisville, NC)

Next up, the Jets play the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 7. Jordan-Matthews will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 78-49 non-league win over Western Harnett (Lillington, NC).
