The Purvis Tornadoes basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Lamar Christian Lions to 45 in the Tornadoes non-league victory on Friday.

With the win, Purvis upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Tornadoes host West Marion (Foxworth, MS) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 0-5.

Next up, the Lions play the Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets (Amite, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 5. Lamar Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 9-1 season record.
