Georgia High School Basketball - Eastside thwarts Newton

December 2, 2022: Covington, GA 30014

The Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA) basketball knocked off the host Newton Rams (Covington, GA), 48-40 in Friday's non-league test.

The Eagles (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Salem (Conyers, GA). The Seminoles go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Salem went down by Heritage (Conyers, GA), 60-18, in a non-league test.

The Rams now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Archer for a AAAAAAA Region 4 test on Tuesday, December 6. Newton will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 97-25 non-league win over Mountain View (Lawrenceville, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-0.
