Georgia High School Basketball - Chestatee can't hold off Athens Christian
December 2, 2023: Gainesville, GA 30505 The Athens Christian Eagles basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Chestatee War Eagles to 59 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morgan County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Athens Christian will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 43-39 non-league win over Greene County (Greensboro, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-3.
The War Eagles (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Johnson (Gainesville, GA). The Knights come into the AAAA Region 8 contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Johnson was nudged by East Hall (Gainesville, GA), 85-42, in a non-league contest.
