Texas High School Basketball - Canyon topped by Lake Belton
December 2, 2023: New Braunfels, TX 78130 The Lake Belton Broncos basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Canyon Cougars to 48 in the Broncos non-league victory on Saturday.
The Broncos now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gateway College Preparatory for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Lake Belton will battle a Gators team coming off a 57-28 non-league win over New Waverly (New Waverly, TX). The Gators record now stands at 6-3.
The Cougars (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Judson (Converse, TX). The Rockets come into the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Judson prevailed over Johnson (San Antonio, TX), 58-56, in a non-league contest.
