The Yough Cougars basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Derry Trojans to 48 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Park for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Yough will battle a Eagles team coming off a 59-30 non-league win over East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.

The Trojans (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Connellsville (Connellsville, PA). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Connellsville was defeated by Uniontown (Uniontown, PA), 87-32, in a non-league contest.
