The Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Goose Creek Memorial Patriots (Baytown, TX), 50-48 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Hurricanes (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Fort Bend Dulles (Sugar Land, TX). The Vikings go into the 6A Region III District 20 test with a 8-5 record.
