Nebraska High School Basketball - Homer knocked off by Lyons-Decatur Northeast

December 2, 2023: Homer, NE 68030

The Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Homer Knights to 38 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walthill for a D2 District 5 contest on Tuesday, December 5. Lyons-Decatur Northeast will meet a Blujays team coming off a 65-60 non-league win over Winnebago (Winnebago, NE). The Blujays record now stands at 2-0.

The Knights (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (Laurel, NE). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge ran past Crofton (Crofton, NE), 69-49, in a league contest.
