Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Howland Tigers (Warren, OH), 48-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mercyhurst Prep upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Lakers travel to Harbor Creek (Harborcreek, PA) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Harbor Creek won 55-51 in their recent non-league bout against Seneca (Erie, PA)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Chaney Cowboys (Youngstown, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Howland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
