Virginia High School Football - Altavista succumbs to Essex

December 2, 2023: Tappahannock, VA 22560

The Essex Trojans thwarted the visiting Altavista Colonels football team by a count of 16-8 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Essex upgrades its record to 14-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Galax (Galax, VA) to encounter the Maroon Tide in a non-league outing on Saturday, December 9. The Maroon Tide go into the outing with a record of 10-4. Galax won 49-36 in their recent non-league outing against Honaker (Honaker, VA)

With the loss, Altavista moves to 10-4 on the season.
