Kentucky High School Basketball - South Laurel thwarts Ballard
December 2, 2023: London, KY 40744 The South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) basketball knocked off the visiting Ballard Bruins (Louisville, KY), 72-52 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY). The Rockets go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Rockcastle County went down by Madison Central (Richmond, KY), 63-59, in a non-league test.
The Bruins now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Western for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 5. Ballard will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 71-24 non-league loss to Pleasure Ridge Park (Louisville, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 0-2.
