Texas High School Basketball - Roscoe nips Blackwell
December 2, 2023: Roscoe, TX 79545 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Roscoe Plowboys (Roscoe, TX) and the visiting Blackwell Hornets (Blackwell, TX), saw Roscoe's basketball squad hold off Blackwell by a tally of 35-28.
With the victory, Roscoe improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Plowboys host Coleman (Coleman, TX) to play the Bluecats in a 2A Region I District 8 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Bluecats come into the challenge with a record of 0-3.
Next up, the Hornets play the Clyde Bulldogs (Clyde, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Blackwell will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 4-9 record after their 36-28 non-league win over Sterling City (Sterling City, TX).
