December 2, 2023: Galena, IL 61036 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Galena Pirates (Galena, IL) and the visiting Rockford Christian Royal Lions (Rockford, IL), saw Galena's basketball squad wallop Rockford Christian by a tally of 55-26.
With the victory, Galena improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Aquin Catholic (Freeport, IL) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 8-1. Aquin Catholic lost 53-34 in their recent league challenge against Orangeville (Orangeville, IL)
Next up, the Royal Lions confront the North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL) in a Big Northern challenge, on Friday, December 8. Rockford Christian will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record.
