McCook Bison (McCook, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Valentine (Valentine, NE), 43-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McCook upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bison travel to Norton (Norton, KS) to clash with the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Norton lost 58-29 in their recent non-league bout against Hoxie (Hoxie, KS)

Next up, the clash with the Mullen Broncos (Mullen, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Valentine will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 45-38 non-league win over Sutherland (Sutherland, NE).
