December 2, 2023: Monticello, IA 52310 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Western Dubuque Bobcats (Epworth, IA) and the host Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA), saw Western Dubuque's basketball squad wallop Monticello by a tally of 65-43.
With the victory, Western Dubuque improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA) to confront the Saints in a Mississippi Valley challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Xavier lost 55-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Anamosa Raiders (Anamosa, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 69-30 non-league loss to Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA).
