Illinois High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon crushes Waterloo

Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL), 82-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Rams travel to Centralia (Centralia, IL) to play the Orphans in a South Seven bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Orphans go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Centralia won 46-25 in their recent non-league bout against Herrin (Herrin, IL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Affton Cougars (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 6. Waterloo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 32-21 non-league win over Mehlville (St. Louis, MO).
