Newberg Tigers (Newberg, OR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting North Medford Black Tornado (Medford, OR), 52-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newberg upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Canby (Canby, OR) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Canby won 56-33 in their recent non-league bout against Molalla (Molalla, OR)

Next up, the Black Tornado clash with the Jesuit Crusaders (Portland, OR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. North Medford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 55-36 non-league win over Oregon City (Oregon City, OR).
