In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Avoyelles Mustangs basketball team scored a good 58-48 win over the Grant Cougars.

The Mustangs (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Tioga (Tioga, LA). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Tioga was topped by John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA), 64-37, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Buckeye Panthers (Buckeye, LA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. Grant will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
