Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), 81-53 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Scotland upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Fighting Scots host Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to face the Bucks in a 3A/4A Sandhills match on Friday, December 6. The Bucks enter the match with a record of 3-3. Hoke County lost 53-48 in their recent non-league match against Lumberton (Lumberton, NC)

The Timberwolves now sport a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anson for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 3. Montgomery Central will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 70-54 non-league win over Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-0.
