Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) backers went home thrilled Tuesday as they saw their basketball team smash the visiting West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC), 78-49 in a non-league contest.

The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Mavericks go into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Miller School of Albemarle smashed Tandem Friends (Charlottesville, VA), 88-53, in a non-league match.

The Patriots now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Farmville Central for a non-league match on Friday, December 5. West Carteret will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 70-28 non-league win over North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-0.
