North Carolina High School Basketball - Queen's Grant triumphant over Jackson Day

December 2, 2025: Matthews, NC 28105

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) and the visiting Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC), observed Queen's Grant's basketball team smash Jackson Day by a margin of 72-35.

The Stallions (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy (Huntersville, NC). The Eagles come into the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy was trounced by Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC), 62-47, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mariners battle the Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, December 3. Jackson Day will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Villains go into the game with a 1-0 record after their 76-57 non-league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, NC).
