California High School Basketball - Arrowhead Christian bested by Temecula Prep
December 2, 2025: Winchester, CA 92596 Temecula Prep Patriots (Winchester, CA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Arrowhead Christian Eagles (Redlands, CA), 48-38 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Temecula Prep advances its record to 5-2 on the year. The Patriots host Hamilton (Anza, CA) to battle the Bobcats in a non-league contest on Thursday, December 4. The Bobcats go into the contest with a record of 0-2. Hamilton lost 37-27 in their recent non-league contest against West Valley (Hemet, CA)
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Lakeside Lancers (Lake Elsinore, CA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 4. Arrowhead Christian will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Lancers go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 48-4 non-league loss to Hemet (Hemet, CA).
First Quarter
Temecula prep set out to end a two game slide against Arrowhead Christian. The first quarter saw an outstanding showing of #15, Kalea Mejia, scoring 6 of the quarters 10 points while adding most of the teams rebounds for the quarter. Seemingly putting herself in the right spot at the right time for most of the quarter. The quarter ended with Temecula Prep holding on to a narrow lead of 10-8.
Second Quarter
The second quarter played close as the first exchanging the lead at some point before Temecula Prep taking the half-time lead of 19-18. Bailey Litt lead all Temecula preps scorers for the quarter with 5. Samiyha Antoine and Naya Mejia added a basket of their own.
Third Quarter
The Temecula Prep squad was lead in scoring for the quarter by Bailey Litt and Samiyah Antoine with 6 points each. Fast breaks from steals and rebounds created great down court drives and passes. Naya Mejia added another basket but also grabbed 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in the quarter. Temecula Prep opened the lead slightly ending the quarter 14 points and allowing 11, making the end of the 3rd quarter score of 33-29.
Fourth Quarter
Fourth quarter stayed close for most of the period before Temecula Preps defense stifled Arrowhead Christian down the stretch. Temecula Prep scored 15, 4th quarter points, while allowing 9 points, creating the final score of 48-38. The quarter lead scorer was Bailey Litt, adding 9 of her game high 22 points as well as 6 steals. Samayah Antoine added 4 points in the quarter, giving her a game total of 14 points, but added 10 rebounds, 7 steals, and 4 assists. Kalea Mejia and Naya Mejia showed up big this game. Kalea ended with 8 points and10 rebounds, while Naya scored 4 points, but also added 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.
