Arkansas High School Basketball - Pangburn holds off Newport
December 2, 2025: Pangburn, AR 72121 The Pangburn Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Newport Greyhounds to 45 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now possess a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Concord for a non-league game on Wednesday, December 3. Pangburn will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 50-33 non-league loss to Newport (Newport, AR). The Pirates record now stands at 1-12.
The Greyhounds (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR). The Hornets enter the 3A Region 3 outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, Harrisburg got by Gosnell (Gosnell, AR), 58-37, in a non-league outing.
