Illinois High School Basketball - Eureka holds off Bloomington Central Catholic
December 3, 2021: Bloomington, IL 61704 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) and the host Bloomington Central Catholic Saints (Bloomington, IL), saw Eureka's basketball squad hold off Bloomington Central Catholic by a tally of 55-50.
With the victory, Eureka improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Lexington (Lexington, IL) to confront the Minutemen in a Heart of Illinois challenge on Tuesday, December 7. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Lexington won 51-47 in their recent league challenge against Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL)
Next up, the Saints confront the Orr Spartans (Chicago, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 18. Bloomington Central Catholic will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record.
