Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wallace County Wildcats (Sharon Springs, KS), 84-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northern Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Huskies travel to Trego (WaKeeney, KS) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 7. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Trego won 61-39 in their recent non-league bout against Dighton (Dighton, KS)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Wichita County Indians (Leoti, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 7. Wallace County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 63-46 non-league loss to Elkhart (Elkhart, KS).
