Texas High School Basketball - Bob Hope edges High Island
December 3, 2021: High Island, TX 77623 The Bob Hope Eagles (Port Arthur, TX) basketball nipped the host High Island Cardinals (High Island, TX), 40-36 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles (4-6) will now prepare for their bout against Good Samaritan HomeSchool (Fred, TX). The Hornets go into the non-league bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Good Samaritan HomeSchool was edged by Spurger (Spurger, TX), 80-10, in a non-league bout.
Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 28 bout, on Tuesday, December 7. High Island will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 49-31 non-league loss to Grapeland (Grapeland, TX).
