Hatley Tigers (Amory, MS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS), 49-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hatley upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Tigers host Amory (Amory, MS) to play the Panthers in a 3A Region 4 challenge on Saturday, December 10. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Amory lost 50-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Saltillo (Saltillo, MS)

Next up, the Cardinals confront the Kossuth Aggies (Kossuth, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 9. Belmont will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Aggies come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 51-50 non-league loss to New Site (New Site, MS).
