Illinois High School Basketball - Metamora tops Lincoln Park
December 3, 2022: Metamora, IL 61548 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) and the visiting Lincoln Park Lions (Chicago, IL), saw Metamora's basketball squad knock off Lincoln Park by a tally of 64-52.
With the victory, Metamora improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Redbirds travel to Washington (Washington, IL) to play the Panthers in a Chicago Public - Blue South challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Washington lost 54-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Coral Glades (Coral Springs, FL)
Next up, the Lions play the Orr Spartans (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public - Red Northwest challenge, on Wednesday, December 7. Lincoln Park will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 77-49 league loss to Farragut (Chicago, IL).
