Illinois High School Basketball - Sandwich nips Richmond-Burton
December 3, 2022: Richmond, IL 60071 Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Richmond-Burton Rockets (Richmond, IL), 48-41 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Sandwich upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Morris (Morris, IL) to play the Redskins in a Interstate Eight bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Redskins come into the bout with a record of 1-5. Morris lost 82-20 in their recent league bout against Ottawa (Ottawa, IL)
Next up, the Rockets play the Round Lake Panthers (Round Lake, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Richmond-Burton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 70-30 non-league loss to Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL).
