Iowa High School Basketball - North Polk overwhelms Atlantic
December 3, 2024: Alleman, IA 50007 The North Polk Comets basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Atlantic Trojans to 22 in the Comets non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Comets now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to A-D-M for a Raccoon River game on Friday, December 6. North Polk will confront a Tigers team coming off a 84-81 non-league win over Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Atlantic falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Glenwood (Glenwood, IA) to confront the Rams in a Hawkeye Ten game on Friday, December 6. The Rams go into the game with a record of 1-0. Glenwood won 92-59 in their recent non-league game against Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA)
