Texas High School Basketball - Commerce can't get by Canton
December 3, 2024: Canton, TX 75103 Canton Eagles (Canton, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX), 58-53 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Canton advances its record to 4-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX) to meet the Yellowjackets in a non-league match on Thursday, December 5. The Tigers now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Lamar for a non-league match on Thursday, December 5. Commerce will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 59-45 non-league loss to Denison (Denison, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 3-2.
