Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Steel Valley can't hold off Carlynton
December 3, 2024: Carnegie, PA 15106 Carlynton Cougars (Carnegie, PA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA), 57-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Carlynton advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Cougars host East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA) to face the Wild Cats in a non-league match on Friday, December 6. The Wild Cats enter the match with a record of 1-0. East Allegheny won 52-32 in their recent non-league match against Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA)
The Ironmen now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Allegheny for a non-league match on Thursday, December 5. Steel Valley will face a Indians squad coming off a 60-23 non-league win over Brashear (Pittsburgh, PA). The Indians record now stands at 1-0.
