Illinois High School Basketball - Pekin holds off Galesburg
December 3, 2024: Pekin, IL 61554 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Pekin Dragons basketball team scored a close 52-46 triumph over the Galesburg Silver Streaks.
The Dragons (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Eagles go into the Mid-Illini contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Dunlap was tipped by Manual (Peoria, IL), 78-65, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Silver Streaks confront the Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) in a Western Big 6 contest, on Friday, December 6. Galesburg will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Rocks go into the contest with a 4-0 record after their 61-50 non-league win over Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL).
