Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) and the visiting Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA), saw Murphy's basketball squad overcome Fannin County by a tally of 67-52.

With the victory, Murphy improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Enka (Enka, NC) to confront the Jets in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 8. The Jets come into the challenge with a record of 5-0.

Next up, the Rebels confront the Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) in a AA Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, December 7. Fannin County will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 61-52 non-league win over Stephens County (Toccoa, GA).
