The Alliance Aviators basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Springfield Spartans to 53 in the Aviators non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Aviators now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Canton South for a Eastern Buckeye contest on Saturday, December 11.

The Spartans (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Field (Mogadore, OH). The Falcons enter the Metro contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Field was nudged by Waterloo (Atwater, OH), 53-35, in a non-league contest.
