Dowagiac Chieftains (Dowagiac, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting River Valley Mustangs (Three Oaks, MI), 40-19 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dowagiac upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Chieftains host Cassopolis (Cassopolis, MI) to clash with the Rangers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Benton Harbor Tigers (Benton Harbor, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. River Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
