Illinois High School Basketball - Elgin tops Hoffman Estates
December 4, 2023: Elgin, IL 60120 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) and the visiting Hoffman Estates Hawks (Hoffman Estates, IL), saw Elgin's basketball squad knock off Hoffman Estates by a count of 62-50.
With the victory, Elgin upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Maroons host Aurora East (Aurora, IL) to play the Tomcats in a Upstate Eight challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Aurora East lost 41-17 in their recent league challenge against Streamwood (Streamwood, IL)
Next up, the Hawks play the Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Hoffman Estates will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 51-15 league loss to Rolling Meadows (Rolling Meadows, IL).
