The Rockcastle County Rockets basketball team scored 77 points and held the host South Laurel Cardinals to 62 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Monday.

The Rockets now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somerset for a District 47 contest on Friday, December 8.

The Cardinals (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Southwestern (Somerset, KY). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Southwestern ran past West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY), 55-52, in a non-league contest.
