December 4, 2024: Ottawa, IL 61350 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL) and the visiting Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL), observed Ottawa's basketball team overwhelm Sandwich by a score of 50-28.
The Pirates (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL). The Knights come into the Interstate Eight challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Kaneland trounced Sandwich (Sandwich, IL), 78-34, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians encounter the Plano Reapers (Plano, IL) in a Kishwaukee River challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Sandwich will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record.
