Illinois High School Basketball - Plainfield South thwarts Joliet West

Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) and the host Joliet West Tigers (Joliet, IL), witnessed Plainfield South's basketball squad prevail over Joliet West by a count of 52-40.

With the victory, Plainfield South advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Cougars travel to Normal Community (Normal, IL) to meet the Ironmen in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 6. The Ironmen enter the battle with a record of 1-4. Normal Community lost 54-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Pekin (Pekin, IL)

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Oswego Panthers (Oswego, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie - West challenge, on Tuesday, December 9. Joliet West will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
