The Houghton Lake Bobcats basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Tawas Area Braves to 43 in the Bobcats non-league victory on Monday.

The Bobcats now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine River Area for a Highland contest on Thursday, December 8. Houghton Lake will battle a Bucks team coming off a 50-25 non-league loss to Morley Stanwood (Morley, MI). The Bucks record now stands at 1-2.
