Iowa High School Basketball - Wayne nips Murray
December 5, 2022: Murray, IA 50174 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA) and the host Murray Mustangs (Murray, IA), saw Wayne's basketball squad hold off Murray by a count of 38-36.
With the victory, Wayne upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Southeast Warren (Liberty Center, IA) to play the Warhawks in a Pride of Iowa - East challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Warhawks come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Southeast Warren won 51-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Mormon Trail (Garden Grove, IA)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Seymour Warriors (Seymour, IA) in a Bluegrass challenge, on Tuesday, December 6. Murray will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 51-31 non-league loss to Wayne (Corydon, IA).
