December 5, 2023: Minocqua, WI 54548 The Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI) basketball crushed the visiting Chequamegon Screaming Eagles (Park Falls, WI), 66-33 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Thunderbirds (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Antigo (Antigo, WI). The Red Robins go into the Great Northern test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Antigo was trounced by Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI), 56-34, in a league test.
The Screaming Eagles now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Assumption for a non-league test on Thursday, December 7. Chequamegon will encounter a Royals squad coming off a 61-53 non-league win over Phillips (Phillips, WI). The Royals record now stands at 2-1.
