The Clayton Comets tipped the visiting Sanderson Spartans basketball team by a final score of 51-50 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Comets face the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, December 13. Clayton will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record.

With the defeat, Sanderson moves to 3-2 on the year. The Spartans host Heritage (Wake Forest, NC) to face the Huskies in a non-league game on Friday, December 8. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 2-3. Heritage won 57-39 in their recent non-league game against Enloe (Raleigh, NC)
